The Manitoba Professional Painting Contractors Association (MPPCA) was originally established in the early 1960's as the Manitoba Association of Painting and Decorating Contractors, and was made up solely of Painting Contractors. Some of the founding members still remain active in the current MPPCA. Some of the original objectives of the association were to "promote the interests and conserve the rights of those engaged in the Painting and Decorating Trade" and ... "to generally advance and improve the industry and reform abuses therein where they exist." Today's MPPCA has broadened its industry impact by bring together contractors and suppliers to meet the needs of the Consumer.
